So off I went for a bracelet stand. (it works wonderfully by the way). I glanced around and grabbed the sticky notes out of my purse. (I will never regret carrying them with me at all times.)
I scribbled a friendly word of well-wishing and support to a future jewelry designer or fashion star, and stuck it right to the manniquin. I think someone saw me but oh well, I dashed into line and no one said anything so it was fine.
I’ve got a few notes to hide over the next few days. Looking forward to getting back into this with you all! :)

And today I’m here in the doctors office.  Never much fun to report, but it is still a place that could use a good love letter.

Sneaking around, placing letters…it’s something so different for me, I’d recommend to anyone to just try it, just once.

You don’t have to be heartfelt or meaningful, and you don’t have to have a blog link written across the back of the envelope.  Just wish someone a good day and drop it somewhere.  Hide it in your favorite store or on the table for a stressed looking waitress.  Give someone just a little something to brighten their day.  Everyone deserves a smile.

Today was a work day again, and I was of course, running around after my shift to make sure all the errands were done.  In turn, it was nice to relax and head out to dinner with the family.

My aunt’s birthday dinner was spent at a nice Mexican restaurant and after the meal we headed off to the Christmas Tree Shop to browse and burn off some unneeded calories.  While walking around, we stopped at the light fixtures and of course, down went a letter: written, sealed and waiting to be found.

It was more or less leaning against the base of one of the lamps, so not quite hidden but just peaking out enough for someone to find it.

Attempting to leave one at the doctor’s office tomorrow!  Wish me luck!  XO

I first want to say how excited I was to get this, the first thing I did was take the above pic to post it on my Facebook. the second thing I want to say is that it is even more amazing that I, of all people, ended up with it. I am strictly a library/used book store kinda girl, I only bought this book because I had gotten a gift card for Christmas.

And lastly, The Book!! It was a very cute story, nothing “shades of gray” going on. ;)  but every once in a while its nice to read a cute story. I started the book this morning and finally was able to finish  it about an hour ago (which is why I don’t spend a lot of money on books). It always makes me sad when a book ends, I feel like I am part of the characters and I always want to know what is happening after the last page! This book was no different, but definitely worth reading… especially if you are a hopeless romantic.

Thanks for making my day!!

I’m so thrilled those of you are still finding those!  I’m glad you enjoyed the book, and I am definitely one of those hopeless romantics…:P  Can’t help it!  And you’re very welcome!  ^^

Today consisted of a very long day at work, which in turn led to me running into TJ Maxx on my way home from work and finding a place to hide the letter. Originally I wasn’t supposed to stay any later than 12. Then 1. And finally at 2:30 I left. From 5am. As expected I’m currently writing this on my cell phone through squinted eyes, waiting for sleep. However, as always the show (or resolution) must go on! In turn, the letter became a part of a pillow, and I hope someone found it! I know this font is probably one giant paragraph but I will work on that in the morning. For now, pleasant dreams!!

Today was quite a lazy Sunday, and other than taking down Holiday Decorations, the only place my family and I went was off to the grocery store.  I had a letter in my purse and having informed my parents of my mission the day before, they were curious about it.

So I had some fun - I got them in on it.

I handed my dad my Love Letter: written, sealed and ready to be found.  I told him to put it down somewhere where someone would find.  He looked at me like I was nuts, but he took it and off we went into the store.  He was trying to be sneaky at first and he kept saying about how stressed he was and how he felt like he was doing something illegal.  Finally, with no one in the cereal aisle, the letter left us and went to the final leg of its mission.

When we got back in the car, dad admitted it was pretty fun, but he definitely wasn’t hiding one every day.  Sometimes parents just have to learn to trust their kids.  Work at 5am tomorrow, so I’m off to bed!!  Goodnight everyone!

Much love,
Me

Today was day 5, and my friend Kirstyn came over to write quite a large bundle of love letters - 10 to be exact.  We took the letters to the local mall and among some shopping a break for a snack, the letters were left scattered across the mall.

The Icing Ear Piercing Chair, the planters in the food court, leaning against a shoe at Charlotte Russe, we tried to get a bit creative.

As Kirstyn said, it was stressful at first, trying to find places to put them without anyone noticing and then trying to sneak a photo.  After a while though, she looked at me and said “it’s actually stress-fully fun instead.”

A table around the fountain, a calendar in a toy shop, a couch in a seating area, a table in a jewelry store.  It was so much fun coming up with each and every location we left the letters, and I definitely agree that doing it as a pair was much more fun than by yourself.  (It helps to have someone around to snap pictures as soon as the letter leaves your hand!)

The letter that was the most interesting to leave was in the doorway of Forever21 (purple envelope).  I put the letter down and snapped the photo and no longer than 90 seconds later, it was gone.  It was an incredible feeling to know someone in that store at that moment was holding one of my letters.  Kirstyn and I threw a second letter in the same spot and left rather quickly.

To those of you who have already messaged me about finding the letters - I’m thrilled they made your day a little better.  To those of you who haven’t, but are reading this, I hope that the letter made you smile a bit.  And to Kirstyn, thank you for being an amazing friend.  We definitely must do this again soon!  2 is better than 1!  <3

Found this in the buckland hills mall today. Most helpful thing I’ve ever received.

I’m so glad it helped!  Thank you so much for posting, and have an absolutely wonderful day.  XO

Hey! I found your note on the book “Sometimes It Happens” by Lauren Barnholdt (: Needless to say, I’ll be reading it sometime soon. I love that you’re keeping the love letter idea going, it’s awesome and I hope you’re super successful!

I hope you have a wonderful day too!

Do you understand how amazing this was to come home to this???  My friend and I just went to the mall and left about 10 all over the place.  So thrilled someone already found one!  Thank you so much for posting this!!!!  ^^

Today was an oopsies, as I left my phone in my car when I went to place the letter.

I ran in to Michael’s crafts to grab some more envelopes and cards to be well stocked for the next few months or so. I was in the check out line when I realized the whole reason I went in the store was to place the letter!
I checked out and flew back to the letter aisle but of course a man followed me down the aisle and stood about 3 feet away for 10 minutes so my original idea of mixing my envelope with the ones they were selling was shut down.
I hopped over to the scrapbooking aisle and I slipped the letter in with the stationary and scrapbooking paper, and reached for my phone. Of course, I realized it wasn’t in my purse so I apologize for not posting a photo!

Tomorrow my friend Kirstyn is coming over to write letters to drop off at the local mall and outdoor plaza. Plenty of photos from then, I promise!

Today was a very eventful day.  Many letters were left and I enjoyed writing each.

The first letter was the normal love letter, and it was left in a consignment store.  There was a half-shell dish sitting on top of one of the clothing racks, and I stood it up in there.  It was pretty cute if I do say so myself.

I had a few more errands to run and then I went straight up to the bookstore.  I walked through and found a few books I wanted to leave notes in and headed for the Starbucks lounge.  I set myself up and 9 sticky-notes later, I was sneaking them into the appropriate books.  Though I will tell you, putting them in the books and stealing a photo is not an easy feat.  People stare, trying to figure out what your doing with your phone while your trying to hide the sticky-notes on a shelf and pretend like your reading, but I must admit it was incredibly fun!

I’m a bookworm, and plan on having my own library someday, so I knew exactly which two books I wanted to be the recipient of the first set of notes.  I left 3 in 3 separate copies of The Fault in Our Stars and 3 in 3 copies of Between Shades of Grey.  Both absolutely beautiful, heart-wrenching novels that I knew would be picked up by someone.  The last 3 notes were left in 3 different novels, none of which I have read.  I hope that someone reads them and enjoys the note I left in the pages.  And if by chance they do pop by there - seriously, let me know what you thought because each book I put a note in looked (and sounded) wonderful!  They’re all on my Goodreads list!

Well, tomorrow is yet another day.  We’ll see where it takes me and what letters I may write!

I have decided to do the same thing every Thursday for the next year.  I will be heading out to a bookstore, magazine stand, or library every Thursday and place little sticky-love notes in the pages of my favorite books.

This is something I have wanted to do for a long time, and I think this is the perfect time to let something know that I hope they enjoy the book just as much as I did.

Luckily sticky notes will go undetected until they get home and begin to read it for the first time!

My goal is to place 3 sticky notes in 3 different books every Thursday.  I may even attempt to leave notes in books that I want to read/look good and I am thinking about leaving them in blank journals and notebooks (back-to-school time will be quite fun.  ;D)

So with this, I’m off to get ready to make a Barnes and Nobel run.  I’ll post photos when I get back!  I mean really, how busy could a bookstore be on a Thursday morning?

Day 2 - Letter 2

Today, the letter was left in Bed, Bath and Beyond on an errand run with my family.  As it turns out, sneaking away and returning with nothing to express interest in buying is a bit more difficult than it sounds (as I usually return with a well-rehearsed speech as to why we MUST buy this new set of jewelry stands, when really I have literally no room on my dresser).

The store wasn’t busy (as it was a Wednesday), but I stood the note up against a metal jewelry stand where I was sure someone would see it, as it was about eye level.

I feel like I should get a bit creative with where I leave the notes, and I look forward to dropping them in different places every day.

PS.  This Saturday my friend Kirstyn is coming over to spend the day writing letters with me and we also plan to head to the local mall/outdoor shopping area/other places to leave them for people to find.  Plenty of photos will be ahead so keep an eye out!!
